Have people found it to be worth the extra ~$200 for a second raptor 74gb so they can run raid0, or does it not make much of a diff in perf?

I keep beating this point to death, but it stands - RAID0 is going to give you higher sustained transfer rates, barely raise random transfer rates, and raise access times by 35-65%. If you do lots of video editing this will benefit you. If you do lots of multitasking, database work, and the like, the increased access times will ruin your day.
