Is this possible?

I got a 120GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 SATA HDD and wish to install windows on it. However, I don't have a floppy drive. When I'm installing Windows 2003 Server I need to press F6 to install SATA drivers. Then it asks me to put the driver disk in drive A, which i don't have.

Is there a way to force windows to read from the CDROM? Cos I have already burnt the necessary drivers on CD.

I'm going to try with XP ... but I have a feeling it's gonna ask me for the same thing..

well at that stage youd need to slipstream it into the install
think Ive seen it done

or you could install to a spare IDE and then install the driver and clone over

but all in all, borrowing a FDD is going to be easier, they aint dead yet

Updating Drivers in a slipstream installation (http://www.winntmag.com/Article/ArticleID/38619/38619.html) an unqualified lead, didnt review it

and Bart's way to create bootable CD-Roms (for Windows/Dos) (http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/)
