You could try asking Kyle for some of his contact info and then go from there. You could try contacting the local authorities in his area. Good Luck.

Is there any point of you posting your observation in this thread...

Or for that matter me pointing out the uselessness of both our posts... Uhhh... :p

I'll be leaving now.

Contact an admin or mod to see if you can find any more information on him, or search other forums to see if you can find something.

Nothin' like mass confustication and answer-avoidance in a thread.

since you sent a check, i already assume that you have his address etc

have you called before sending the check to make sure the number was legit?

if its a check, your bank should have the check back and you should have his info on the back of the check.

Get that check back from your bank and file a formal complaint against the seller by calling up his local police station, yes this work.s

also check out the fbi internet fraud link available in the rules, as well as file for postal fraud if you sent it through the mail.

What is his username?

Wrong! Do not bother Kyle asking for personal info on other members. He has said before it would take a court order before he divulges that kinda stuff.

It's every trader's own responsibility to get info like phone numbers up front and to confirm them prior to a trade.

manasota your comment is not needed and i do not need your retarded flamer-ish post in here. go get your post count up somehwere else u noob

for those who helped me thanks, im looking into the situation in differnt ways.
What's the point of asking for informatin/advice if you're going to go about it 'in different ways'. FYI internet fraud is taken very seriously, and if you think the police are going to laugh at you and not take you seriously you're sorely mistaken. If you have his address you have got a serious starting point. First of all i'd call this trader (and if he's young, i'd talk to his parents) you'd be very surprised what the parents can do (unless they're assholes too). If they are mention the police, or legal charges and i'm sur eyou will either a. get your merchandise and a sincere apology (don't be afraid to ask for extra for the inconvenience). or b. a refund, sincere apology and a little extra ;D).

Just my 2 cents. Don't compromise like that. This isn't just some playground bully. He is a thief.

UfoKillerz advice is right on. call his local PD and file a complaint to the FBI Internet Fraud Division. this should be the first step to take after all efforts to contact him fails.

i will spend some time in my precinct and study the ways of internet fraud from the detectives here ;) i think i was actually supposed to go with the detective to make an arrest on veterans day, but we all decided to have lunch, so detective went alone =\

By all means, pursue legal avenues if you wish. Internet fraud is a crime. Last I knew, the FBI had ~40 agents assigned full-time to ebay complaints alone.

But please understand if your local police dept doesn't make it a priority. Some issues, like crimes involving violence, are always going to come first.

contact the local police for his area they 9/10 times will go ahead and knock on his door for ya. you also have the avenue of going federal since the internet and postal service was used for this fraud.

The buyer never got the package, and i accused him of steeling it. im am writing this to him as an apology, saying that now i finally know that he is not teh lier, and i misunderstood him the entrire time. this post was wrong and i offer my sincerest apologies to him and posting lies that i thaught were correct.

best wishes, hellz

He is banned and his last post was 6-26. You only see the "bad trader" custom title, not that his primarly usergroup is "banned".

Shane Simpson is permanently not welcome here. If you suspect he has snuck back in under a new nick, click the little http://hardforum.com/images/buttons/report.gif icon under the post and a report will be sent to the FS/T mods. They work hard to keep the trolls out and will investigate all reports.
