dual layer in lamen terms, is what it souds like
two 4.7gig layers on one side of a dvd.
threefore giving you twice the capacity and allowing perfect 1:1 dvd copies
err.. backups :o

I have 2 Lite-Ons, an 811s and the 812s. Both work great, and haven't burned any bad discs yet. I've only burned about 15 though. Lite-On is my first choice for optical drives.
