The guts are good, OEM'd by Sirtec
A good choice, one that is held very highly by BlindedByScience

I have had excellent experiences with the Thermaltake brands of power supply. I actually liked it better than the Antec's I have worked with. The 420w model I worked with was also the quietest PS I have ever used.

I have that exact PS, the LEDs are not that bright though, you would need to make your own for any real brightness
tbh they are very dull :(
as far as the PS goes its ok, the rails are weak for the wattage IMO, but its plenty for me so im happy with it :D

I've don't really see any complaints with the 420 watters, i have been seeing some complaints with the 480w> models though. Food for thought when picking and choosing i guess.

I think its the rails are to weak reletive to the wattage, I didnt know much about rails and stuff when I got it, os thats why but its still fine for most people, just whish there was a on/off switch for the leds :(

Don't mean to jack your thread but I am putting together a new rig since my CPU failed and I'm considering getting a new PSU. Are there many advantages other than noise level when it comes to a PSU? Also could you explain these "rails" you all mentioned? If I'm going to purchase a new PSU I want to do my homework and get the best I can. I'm putting together a 2.4c on an Abit IC7.
Thanks for any input

Rails are a reference to the different voltages outputted by your PSU, including +3.3vdc, +5vdc, and +12vdc. The stability of the rail refers to how much they will deviate from their specification, so if one had weak rails then the 12 might drop down to, say 11.5, or something like that.
