My gameing machine (see sig) has a TI4200 Asylum card in it.. and the fan on the videocard is getting noisey.

I've cleaned the fan up with some canned-air but it's still getting noisy.. so i figured i should contemplate a replacement before it dies..

What will fit within the confines of the case....

My other system had same problem and i used a copper zalman fanless HS, but for my main gameing machine, something that gets a lot of use, i'd like one with a fan.

thanks...

Check out the Vantec Iceberq 4 Pro. Vantec recommends it for the 4200. Also look at the Thermaltake Crystal Orb.

They're both 15 mm in height, so you might want to measure how tall the HSF on your 4200 is and how far it is from the lower edge of the heatsink to the case wall to figure out if it'll fit in there.

I have the same one and it works a crapload better than the stock hsf, heavy as heck and cheaper than the vantec options as well. Shop around since they can be found for less than $10 at a lot of online merchants.

as a matter of fact, here it is: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-116-006&depa=1

thanks for the suggestions..

i just ordered the thermaltake since it was, like you said.. cheaper.

dont get me wrong.. the zm17cu works great, never had problems... love it, but in my shuttle's where there is little airflow, want something with a fan on it.

thanks for the suggestions guys.

(i dont post much, but when i do.... i hope my posts are worthwhile)
