1Gb of single channel on a p4, or 512 of dual channel on a p4?

I got a dilemma where i can either put in 1 gb of pc3200 but it will be single channel (2 x 256 + 512)

OR

I can keep 512 mb of dual channel ram in it (I already have the one gig though)

I know I should buy a set of 2 x 256, but i dont have money.

Which is better.?

This is on a 2.6p4 oced to 3.2 FYI. (875p)

Dual channel is probably the best way to go.....add more memory as the wallet allows. You'll take a big hit in performance if you run single channel. I'd save up and get another 512K dimm (same as the one you already have) but 512K (2 X 256) for now should be fine....just my 2 cents
