im helping my friend build a computer. it will have 2600+ mobile, nf7-s, wd1600jb, 256-bit 9800se, zalman 7000alcu, etc......

i was just wondering what kind of ram to buy? theres pc3700 hyperX for $148 and pc4000 mushkin for $147 both are 3-4-4-8 that i were looking at. both are from newegg.

if anyone has suggestions on ram for under $150, i really cant think of what would be best.

You won't need anything over PC3200 (especially with the mobile's flexible multiplier). Buy the lower speed of ram with tighter timings.

yea, u want lower timings on whatever ram u get. if u plan on running 1:1 then ull want at least some pc35/3700. timings are more important though. if u can get ur hands on some bh-5, then ull be in the money. running 1:1 at 240-250 with tight timings. oh BTW i dont think nf7 can go that high without mods, or am i wrong?
