View Full Version : Know this psu? Independent +5V +12V +3.3V and 4 seperate +12V lines ?! (AMS Mercury)

Just figured i'd throw this out there for those who may be familiar or curious. As the title states, it claims to have independent +5V +12V +3.3V lines and 4 seperate +12V lines @ 9a 9a 15a 8a respectively. If indeed true then this is pretty rare (& remarkable).

Anyone have or familiar with the AMS PP-5503EPS Mercury 550w psu? I'm also interested in finding out who makes them (ice czar you reading this?)

Seems rather cheep for an SSI-grade 550w, especially with the independent rails. Hope they are good and for real tho, would be a great deal

its appears to be a brand? they have factories in Tiawan, but it looks focused on enclosures not supplies

A closer look at this label (http://www.amselectronics.com/Products/PC_Servers/CF968/gBOXP4220W_lg.jpg) reveals a manufacturer that calls itself "Chyang Fun Industry". That company name is ringing a bell, i'm just trying to remember what other product i've seen it associated with...

the fortron 550watt for a little more is a better deal imo... only has two +12 rails but the combined power is more on the +12 rails...
definately a great deal tho if its true
