Started getting some nice blue screens recently and noticed that my vid/sound/scsi cards are all using the same IRQ (10). The only way I know to change them is through device manager->device->resources, but for whatever reason the 'use auto settings' box is greyed out for all the devices preventing me from changing them. How do I go about this?

You dont. If you really think that's the cause of your bluescreens you can change your HAL to Standard PC, but IRQ sharing issues are almost a thing of the past now...

Unless you chose to not enable ACPI (IIRC?) when you installed Windows, you're pretty much out of luck as far as changing IRQ's, as far as I know.
As Ranma_Sao said, with XP conflicts are pretty much a non issue.
What you can do however, is go into your BIOS and disable any ports you are not using. Such as serial, parallel, and PS2's (if you have USB mouse and keyboard) or extra USB ports you're not using.
Windows will then reassign some of the IRQ's.

Yep, and you may get lucky. :)

are you sure it is not this known issue?

anyway, fyi, apic can share irq's fine. it is not a problem anymore since hardware and software are designed for this. you can still clean up your resorce allocation, it seems.

Sounds like my problem. I updated my sb live drivers and started getting the blue screens every so often while playing mp3s and surfing the net/games/etc. Anyway to get this file without having to call MS tho?

I did what Sarge recommended before and it helps. I also disabled things that I don't use in Device Manager. For instance game ports and firewire etc. Before this, I had multiple shared IRQs. Now mine looks similar to mosin.
