I have gotten as far as here: http://download.fedora.us/fedora/redhat/8.0/i386/

however, what file do i need to download to atleast start the installation? I do not see an iso. anywhere. Also, where can i get redhat 9.0?

GOOGLE is your friend...
Psyche v8.0 (http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/8.0/en/iso/i386/)
and
Shrike v9.(0?) (http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso/i386/)
[edit]
..and you only really need the first disc or two for install, IIRC..Unless you plan on doing a *complete* install of everything, and/or playing with the sources.
Redhat mirror list page (http://www.redhat.com/download/mirror.html) - big ol' list of mirror ftp sites that many of which are bound to have copies of different distros (click the "Distribution" link, rather than the RedHat guy icon) - handy if your speed from Redhat is slow..Quick check showed one that had at least as old as v7.3.
