Installed my new p4, and weird overclocking results

With my old p4 3.0c I couldn't get anything over 228MHZ FSB (3.57GHZ) to boot, no matter what i set my ram too. With my new p4 3.4c, im already @ 230FSB (3.92ghz) running my ram at 1:1 ratio, and the computer is 100% stable. Im happy and all, but why couldn't my p4 3.0c processor could let this happen?

its luck of the draw im about to draw for a good 3.0C that i can hit 240+FSB with ;)
