I've got 2 36GB Raptors in RAID 0 on my NF7-S (onboard Sil3112 SATA controller). CPU is a 2500+.

CPU Utilization seems high, doesn't it? I've seen some other benches of these drives on the NF7 and the CPU util is below 5%. Not to mention the relatively slow read speed (maximum, in particular).

It's a 2-week-old install of WinXP Pro (and Office 2003 and some Adobe apps)... and yes, it's been defragged a few hours ago.
The RAID settings in the BIOS are the defaults. What's up with this?

BTW, is there a way to get HD Tach to do the write tests without going down to Juarez? (Since they won't accept new registrations...)

Or is there a better HD benchmark I could use? I've tried Sandra, and have heard Sandra's HD tests can be pretty inaccurate...
