Just finished it last night on my X-box...WOW

They largely improved gameplay, a lot more detailed as well. It did have a very confusing storyline at first but I got the jist of it in the second part. The amount of X-rated material went skyhigh as well lol.

I was kinda dissapointed that they used the same ol ending as to shot wires out to kill the bad guy. I figured they could have done better. I also felt the construction site level with mona backing max up was kinda redundant & tediaous after a while. The chapter with vinnie in the stupid costume was just downright stupid but I welcome change I guess. I will say this the prolouges to each level were very well made. Not useless like the blood trail maze of the first, that really pissed me off after a while. haha

All in all it was a very well made game and an awesome experience to play. I am kinda sad that mona dies in the end. I am a sucker for happy endings but I should have known better consider the title for that chapter "There are no happy endings".

So discuss!:D

You should put a spoiler warning in the title.

Anyhow, gotta agree, I love the game, but I found it too short. Funny as I was more impressed with the first one, but I enjoyed the second one more.

Also, if you want a happy ending, play it again using the "Dead On Arrival" setting.

There are TWO endings.

You'll probably like the second one more.

Plus, the games good enough to justify two times around.

I got it for PC. It was pretty cool, a lot better graphics.

Bullet time 2.0 was "meh" though. Not really that much of an improvement.
The physics were much better though.

Story was OK, i still haven't finished it for the second ending

How do you get the second ending?:confused:

I like them both I have complaint about the ending of one. I couldn't get the second cable holder to break unless I cheated.:(

Ok, was it just me, or did anyone else read the thread title like this:

Run program 'Max Payne' and pipe any error output into a file called 'Max Payne'.

Gotta cut back on those late night bash scripting sessions.

I beaten the first one on my Xbox with ease...I had not to cheat. I just fired untill I hit it w/ the sniper rifle. It was a little hard though, since you really had to get it right since auto aim and all that other bs doesn't do squat.

I agree, the second one was much better than the first. The storyline is much more in depth, as it builds upon the characters in the first game. The gameplay was similar, but was improved by the new style bullet time. Overall though, I would say that the story and characters really made the game.
