Hello all,

I am using WS_FTP 7 I believe now, and it is getting annoying, when I click edit, it doesn't give me notepad, it opens it in IE. CuteFTP does it right and goes into notepad. What I was really wonderin is, What FTP Program do you use/reccomend?

Using WS_FTP v8 here. When I click edit on an .html file it opens Word.
Edit a .css and it opens notepad.

I don't see settings anywhere to tell it what to open though...

I use the one built into windows.
I just type in the FTP address and then go to File>Login As and login and it looks and acts just like a windows folder.

FlashFXP

Although SmartFTP and FileZilla are free their code is terrible. I can never get full speed using them.

LeechFTP is an oldie, but a goodie. It was last updated in 1999, but it is XP friendly. It is fast, and hardly uses any resources. Best of all, it is well written freeware.
Get it here. (http://stud.fh-heilbronn.de/~jdebis/leechftp/downloads.html)

CoffeeCup isn't too bad, if you maintain your own website or FTP space. It is a lot like SmartFTP.
