I moved my computer from one house to another and when I plugged it in it booted fine, but the network adapter is not working. When I unplugged it before I moved it, it worked fine. The light on the back of it doesn't work at all. I'm certain that the router is working fine and the cable is fine, because I tested them both with another computer. Also, I plugged in a PCI network card and it also wouldn't work. It's almost like something is disabled. Both of the cards are installed and register in the network connections folder. It just says that the network cable is unplugged.

Specs:

Abit IC7-MAX3 - mobo
Linksys network adapter
Windows XP... that should be all of the specs you need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not getting any lights, that may indicate a bad cable or an improperly seated connection. Any chance the cable was stressed or damaged in the move? Same for the switch/router-
