I am about to reformat and I have a 2gig partition set aside on another drive that I plan to put a 512MB PF on. My question is this: What should I use for the cluster size? I don't plan on having anything else on there, just the paging file... I figured I should use something larger than the 'default' size in WinXP, but I'n not sure how high I should go.
i already discussed this a little bit in General Hardware, but it started to get off topic and people pointed me here for better info. how high of a cluster size should i use?

From Ice Czar's Optimization guide up top. Read the part saying "Should the drive have a big cluster size?"

I do occasssionally sleep (and miss threads altogether) :p
in addition to the rcommendation to employ the default 4k cluster size, you might want to consider Multiple Pagefiles (http://www.storagereview.com/php/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=MultiplePagefiles)
or more RAM (as always)
or both
