Whys my XP startup time so slow?

I counted and for me it seems pretty slow for XP to get past the XP loading screen 15 seconds. I have Barton at 2100Mhz and a Gig of 3500 Ram whats the hold up?
Any tips would be great.

Get rid of a few services...(start->run->services.msc) I only have 8 services at startup, I think thats the most I can squeeze out of WinXP Pro for gaming. Though, I don't have access to file sharing, printers, etc etc etc, shit I didn't ever need to begin with.

Second, check your startup, start->run-> msconfig->startup tab and get rid of any shit you see.

And I bet you got spyware... if you haven't checked for that yet.

There's a lot more stuff you can do, I can't bring it up right now, I'll let the others do that
