estimates of space needed for video editing

i just picked up a Digital video camera and i'd like some help estimating HD space i'll be using.

it's a Canon ZR80, and it uses mini DV. i'm basically wondering how much space a 30 min clip will take up? i'm assuming that off the camera it is uncompressed, and will probably be a fairly large filesize.

i'm looking at buying a DVD+/-RW, but in the meantime(until dual-layer burners are widely available) i may pick up a 120+GB hard drive instead.

30 min clip would be like hmm 20 gigs? probably more

wow, i was thinking more like 10GB.

i'll definatly be needing a hard drive upgrade soon. i'm using about half of a 60GB drive at the moment. i guess a 160GB drive might be needed. maybe more?
