I have dual monitors (21" Nokia 445XiPlus's) and don't use the secondary all that often. Only when I'm doing design work and such. I turn it off to try and save on electricity when I can. Well, i haven't done any design work in awhile, inbetween the last time and now I also had my computer crash.

I finally hooked up the secondary monitor and got it goin. But my colors in this one are horribly off. I can't seem to fine tweak it to a close setting of my primary. I can get close, but not close enough to bother me when looking.

I'm wondering how you guys go about color correcting monitors. Whether it's dual monitors, or just one. As much info as possible would be much appreciated. I'm not grealty concered w/ getting exact colors, since my design work is for class and not marked down for having my pantone coloring off by a few shades. et cetera. But mainly concerned w/ getting both to be the same.

Thanks!

I kinda have the same problem... but its with two slightly different monitors....

Id say, look for a reset button on them.. and press that (on both of them). Also make sure they are both set to the same color depth (16 / 32bit...) and all of that stuff. But I would guess that the reset button would help.

there is no "reset" button. not to sure what you're referring to infact.

they are both set to the same color depth and color warmth.

i know there are people on these boards that know how to color correct monitors, i remember seeing (and i think being involved) in a huge thread about LCD's vs CRT's and color correcting. et cetera.

anyone else?
