i have it installed but the lack of driver support makes it almost useless to me right now...It is much more responsive in the general windows envirenment and it was ungodly fast wheile using unreal ed for ut2003 map making. Unfortunately i havent even been able to connect to the internet with it as there are no drivers for my 2wire gateway. I ran 3d mark 2001 and lost almost 4000 points since its using the microsoft drivers. It doesnt support dx 9 so 3dmark 2003 wont even run. Ive been on the omega corner wesite and forums and there is alot of people asking him to make some 64 bit drivers....lets hope he does and soon!

does the 64bit OS have a compatability mode like regular xp?

i have not used it, but most likely not. It would be incredibly slow to have even a microcode 32 bit emulator running on the chip (which the a64 doesnt have), so you would be using some software level program. In essence, no.

Doesn't need an emulator, the whole point is the chip does it native. Yes, it supports running 32 bit code, and it is at full speed since the athlon supports context switching to the 32 bit mode.

I'm trying to get it installed now on an OLD 10g drive.
I can't get tthe VIA SATA drivers to work. Setup just keep saying it can't find any hard drives. So what I'm gonna attempt is after I get it installed on this old PATA drive and install the beta 4 in 1's I will then use Ghost or something to clone the PATA to a SATA and try to boot from there.

Same problem here. I copied the hyperion drivers over the ones on the driver floppy disk. The driver loads, but it says no hard drives found!! What the.... !!

I have my VIA 4-In-1s, Nvidia's, and the ISO all ready. My only problem is I have a Netgear WG311 wireless NIC and so far I have not found 64-bit drivers for it. If anyone can help me out I would be very happy!

Well, the Ghosting trick worked. Only problem I have now is that I have no drivers for four different ethernet cards. Can you believe that? I've tried the onboard VIA which Windows seems to have a driver but it "Cannot start this device" for some reason. Tried an Intel Pro 1000, the other onboard Realtek Gigabit and finally, a Linksys card.
NONE of these have drivers included in the Windows XP64 nor can I find proper ones on the internet.
Good thing at least my US Robotics dial-up modem works. Which really I can't believe that they would waste time putting 64 bit drivers for an old modem that very few people will be needing to use (except in this situation). Maybe they did that on purpose?

It comes with the Realtek gigabit drivers, but it won't automatically find them. You have to manually select it... worked for me anyway (MSI K8T-Neo)

Ha! Nice set Klassman. So far, have not been able to get past loading SATA drivers... says they are corrupt. Argh.

Please post links to any drivers or report drivers that are natively supported to the sticky thread (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=724149) at the top of the board ;)
