There isn't much use in Dos. If you wanna learn a console, download Cygwin. I think thats what its called.

Why, just why? DOS is outdated, and there's almost nothing beyond the cd and dir commands that you really need in this day in age.

I have to give kudos here. I fondly remember the day MS-DOS 5 went on sale and the revolution that was memmaker.exe.
Oh, how far we've come since then. But, there's no better way to appreciate where we are and where we're going than to understand where we've been.
I don't know of any sites off hand. But, you can probably find a copy of an old MS-DOS manual at your local salvation army or thrift store.
