View Full Version : I did not mean to TK!

I was playing Desert Combat last night, and I TK'd twice, by accident. The first one was like this. I was playing DesertShield map. I was in the tank, and in the distance a tank fired in my direction, missing me by a few feet. I put my crosshairs onto the tank, hoping to identify it. Nothing showed up, and the tank fired at me again, so I assumed it was an enemy and destroyed it.
"Dumb ass" was the cry after the friendly tank blew up. lol. WTF was he firing at me? Provoking me to shoot him so I could be kicked? Idiots....
Second one: Again on DesertShield map. I arrived at an enemy base, and I was quite sure an enemy was inside the little building, so I threw a grenade into it. At the very moment I tossed the grenade, one of my men rounded the corner and went inside the building.
Boom. TK #2. He asked me WTF I was doing. I told him he ran into the building after I lobbed the grenade, but he didn't believe me.
Why don't some people just realize that there are accidents? I quit that server and joined another.
It was quite funny though. ;)

I hate when people decide to run in front of me when playing cs.

I was playing Raid on Aghila(sp?) last night and some guy was sitting in a tank laying on the machine gun trigger at the door to this one building. Well that's ok and all but the only way to capture the flag was to get to the roof of the building and with him firing I coulden't get in!! Despite my standing there, obviously waiting for him to stop, he just kept firing.
I hate people.

The ruling on this matter is: C4 the moaning and whining bitches!
Really though, It pisses me off, too. *tosses gernade into window only to see teammate run into building*
allah: dude wtf did you kill me for?
GlobalFear: :D You fucking deserved it!

but sometimes you do mean to tk
I remember a few years ago playing the original rainbow six
I usually played at night and the numbers of americans dropped and the numbers of koreans soared
I would get bored and go into the korean lobby
join on of their killhouse only games, that's the only map they ever play
and then pretend like I was one of them, pretend like I'm playing along with them
then pow start eliminating my team
those guys were so annoying when they would join an english speaking game

I'm colour blind. Online games frighten me. I can tell the different between red and blue or blue and yellow... anything else is a problem. When people are red and green on radar and the only different is different types of camoflauge... I die a lot :(

Yeah, accidents happen.
Its no big deal though, but I dont understand why people who are so picky about TK'ing, dont just turn off TK and team damage in the server...? duh....
They say leaving TK on is more 'realistic', but really, when is the last time you saw a soldier carrying an RPG, M4A1, pistol, knife, 8 grenades, and 2 mines, who falls down a mountain, and lives.
You get nailed by 10 rounds from a pistol, go grab a health pack, and poof, you're Arnold incarnate. How crazy...
Games are unrealistic by nature. Id rather have them more fun than obsessively accurate.

I accidently kill lots of people on DesertShield because it is such closed quarters in a lot of areas. Explosions of tanks and stuff kill my guys sometimes. I end up with more TK on that map then all the other maps. No one has ever kicked me, I have rarely seen -2 kicked but -10 is a definite candidate. I was unable to play DC with BF1.6 so maybe guys are kicking a lot more often because the kick interface is not so dumb anymore.
And it is not even worth putting mines out anymore. I used to put them out but 90% of the kills are your guys because people don't know how to watch where they are going.

I got myself into a bit of a tussle with another player on the 'Red Orchestra' mod for UT2003.
We're both running through a trench, and for whatever reason the dude pops me in the back. He says 'sorry', and we both move on with our lives..
Then, a little later, I see someone standing a good distance away from me- if anyone's played the RO mod, you know it's sorta hard to tell the difference between Nazi's and Russians from far away (since there's no icons or names to distinguish players yet).
I pop the guy, and it turns out it's the same dude who accidentally got ME just a few minutes earlier. Well, wrong move on my part. I quickly apologized, but the guy goes apeshit on me. "THAT WAS ON PURPOSE, RIGHT?!!! YOU ASSHOLE!!!".
I tried to plead my case, because I'm NOT one of 'those people' who will hunt you down if you accidentally kill me in a computer game.
But, I had to wind up quitting because this guy just would not let it go. Tk'd me at least 6 more times from then on. I just kept on playing and tried to avoid him, but god damn it he always managed to find me and kill me again. Situations like that make you want to stay on the server just to prove a point, but it never works out for the best.
Effin PC game rage is what it is.
Go read a book or something.
