I have a MetroBook VL ..it has win2k on it and I want to switch to win98se ...I thought I could just pop in a winxp pro cd and set boot sequence to go off of cd-rom first and then delete partition, recreate it ..and then reformat to fat32 ...but I cant get the unit to boot off of cdrom first ,even tho that is what its set at in bios ..

it boots off of floppy just fine tho ..

any thoughts or suggestions and how to get win98se installed onto this setup?

thanks

This is just a shot in the dark but have you updated the bios?

My old kt133 board had the option in the bios to boot from CD and I couldn't get it to do it. I even traded out the cd drive thinking that might be the problem. I updated the bios and it started working.
