I installed and everything went ok, but when windows was starting up for the first time it shows it is loading and then just reboots, happens everytime i try it... could the ram need more volts? i can boot into my other windows fine. this is on a raid array, but until the array failed once i got into windows fine, but that was before i switched to corsair ram

are you sure that your ram is good. do a search for "Memtest86" on google and run your comp through that test a few times.
That will tell you if you have any obvious errors with your memory.

If you have 2 sticks of ram, try taking one stick out and switching them both out and see maybe if one of them is bad. If you only have 1, then.. Run the memtest I guess.

During windows install, my system kept restarting too with page faulting errors. It was because my RAM was being way undervolted (I think it defaulted to 2.5V, not good enough for the timings it was set to).
Try memtest first, then you might need to relax timings or increase voltage (your mobo might have read the SPD timings wrong).
