How do I update firmware?

My lite on 52x24x somethingx stopped burning recently, and someone suggested I update the firmware. Ive dled teh file off the Lite On site, but have no idea what do with it now,,,

Dang it... reading the faq is very discouraging.. makes things sound complicated. I'll have to read it a few times over...

Heh.. I wrote that FAQ Ice linked to. If it's too complicated, I'll walk you through it :p. You downloaded the .exe firmware updater from the Lite-On website,right? Now, in Windows, just double click on it, follow the prompts and reboot. Easy,isn't it?
