I was looking to play around with BeOS, but which one should I go with?

BeOS is dead. Palm bought it and killed it. You can try something like zeta or blue eyed os. They are further developments of beos
Theres also a spin off called OpenBeOS, but haven't tried it. You can still find BeOS 5 personal edition around, but it's pretty dated now since BeOS died a year or two ago.

BeOS was dead before Palm bought the intellectual property. I went to the auction of the company's stuff.

Just curious, but what do you need BeOS for?

I don't need it for anything, and I know that there are a few opensource projects and whatnot going around. However, I just want to know which one is the most full featured.

beos 5 pro
ive ran it, and it was a great os, if there was more software for it, it would have really taken off, the multimedia features it had were amazing, on my dual p3 550, i couldnt do anything to slow it down.

Go the the openBeOS website (http://openbeos.org/), and check it out.
I DLed it from BeBits (http://bebits.com/), and installed on a few older machines just to play with.
It's a well written OS for Multimedia stuff, and works VERY WELL if all your hardware is supported.
