I currently have dual 36 GB Raptors in raid 0... however, i may sell them...

Do you think 1 - 74GB would be faster (since its faster than the 36B anyway) ?

definitely keep the 2 raptors if you have a fan on them :)

you might take a small hit in performance if you switch for a single 74 GB raptor, but the 74 GB model has a lot of improvements, namely a shorter seek time, as well as being quieter and (some say) cooler.

It'll also be much more stable-- RAID 0s will fail if one drive craps out, and while I acknowledge that Raptors come with 5 year warranties, your data might be pretty valuable.

Yea you'd take a performance hit.
Some would not see it. Depends what you do.
