3DSMAX 5 need help!

I need to make a landscape! First of all a desert looking landscape. I also need to make a forest a mountain and a ice coverd lake.

Do anyone no how to make these landscapes in 3dsmax 5 I would be happy with a tutorial or something like that!

make a flat surface, then use soft selection and pull up to create lil hills and such. push down to make a valley. then you can get a cylinder and lower it into the falley until the side go under the hills and itll look like flat water

or just use terragen....

Its free and after some practice you can create pretty nice landscapes....

I've never uzed teregen, but that pic lookz impressive! might have 2 get that now :D
