I've got dual LCD's too man.... Dual 19 inch.

May have to clean up the workstation up a bit again before I post another pic, though..
Custom mounted my surround speakers too.

u ran all wires for those PCs under your carpet rite? If i may add my two cents, i would hide that black wire going from your PC to the SUB i think, and the wite wires n the end of your desk, i would either use plastic zip ties to attach to it to the adjacent desk leg, that would prob. tidey it up even more. i cleaned ALL my wires up from under my desk, now its all nice clean. I'll post a pic in a few.

Hey SDK! I had that same desk a couple years ago! Had my 19 inch and 21 inch sitting on it with 3 computers, 2 hooked up to the 21 inch. My old P2 300 which was my linux that I used for hosting my website using Apache and my P3 850 for my leet gaming LOL! Using my gf's old desk right now until I purchase a new one. Already have it picked up. Will post pics once I get everything setup and clean :).

BTW when I purchased that desk it costs me $250 US! OUCH! But it had tons of desktop space that's why I loved it.

ahh... how about the linked piece of furniture? Can't really say I'm an Ikea fan, though. They just put up a new store by me (I'm near the Twin Cities) and people acted like it was the freaking second coming or something... I don't get it. Seems to be more of a tourist attraction than anything.

But I digress. I would just go and snoop around Office Max or something until you see something that you like. Or go get that Ikea piece if that's what you want.

chronic9
11-21-2004, 11:08 PM
i have something like that from ikea. its older. the bottoms of each drawer r made out of some compressed wood and it sags when there is too much stuff in it. so i need some more durable. i think i will go 2 office max and snoop something nice out and come back on black friday, maybe they will have it on discount.

Well back in the day when I bought the monitor you couldn't get one in black that would do 2048x1536@80Hz... plus the question is, should I make it carbon fibre, meat and armor plate or just plain black to fit the systems around ;)

Considering the monitor most likely will outlive all systems it remain stock, it do after all fit the beige walls :D

Mashie, so you are the creator of the Y2k Bug and the Doom 3 box, wow, I'm impressed. I think I saw that Y2K Bug on Pimprig or another site (maybe even a magazine?).

If you were looking for an input, That monitor would look extremely cool Carbon Fiber!

But if you were thinking of keeping it Beige, I could see why, you want it to match your walls as well as your desk.... :p

Seriously though, why not mod your monitor (maybe even the desk to match the monitor? Carbon Fiber desk perhaps? :p ). I mean it would be a shame to have such nice and eye grabbing computers as the ones you have and compliment it with a plain jane beige monitor. You have a real talent for case modding man, put it to good use and have an extreme system. If you could do those with cases, I can only imagine what you can do with your monitor!

Seriously though, why not mod your monitor (maybe even the desk to match the monitor?
Well if I mod it with carbon fibre it won't match any future beige computers :p

As I wrote above, since the monitor will outlive the cases it better stay stock or I will have to repaint it every 6 months...

Yea, it matches the walls.. And you have convinced me it's fine being beige...

I believe I saw your Y2K Bug on a Modder Magazine of some sort. It was a 150+ page Magazine (if my memory serves me correct).

About your Beige components, since you are a badass modder, it would be believable to say that you just MODDED your monitor, keyboard, walls, and desk that way :D . Carbon Beiger, the new trend "hittin' da' streetz," the new Carbon Fiber. Sounds good? :p

On a different note, the Y2K Bug is Carbon Fiber'd correct, Is it real or stick on? The reason I ask this is because I have an Antec Sonata and would like it to be Carbon Fiber'd out, or maybe accented with Carbon Fiber ( haven't made up my mind yet). I want an All Black theme with matching Black LCD Monitor and of course Keyboard and Mouse (maybe the DiNovo?, if they come out with Carbon Look :) . Thanks for any info. (I wouldn't mind just using Carbon Sticker if it looks good / real.)

the ATP3's are great speakers. They have 2 tweeters, and like a 2" mid on each speaker. (the midrange speaker faces down, thats why you cant see it) They are, until your right channel fails, because the fucking plug is so damn loose.

They should've done what the other speaker manufacturers do, and have a control pod, and two speakers.

Yeah, but I like it high so as to give me more head room underneath. But you know those dreams where you're half awake and you trip in the dream and jerk in real life. Sometimes I have those but the dream is that the support post (which the ladder is leaning on) has come out and my bunk is slowly pulling out of the wall and about to fall. In my sleep I'm desprately trying to climb towards the wall to keep from sliding off the edge. And geek that I am, the only thought in my mind besides what's going to happen to me when I fall is, "this is going to destroy my computer". Luckily, two 4 inch screws in every stud should keep that dream from coming true.

I just wasted the better part of the hour catching up on this thread.
I am now feeling lots more inadequate and depressed than I was an hour ago when I "researching" stufffor my 12page report due at 5pm... 10 minutes from now...

But... some of these setups... not just the dual monitors or the multi systems or the hundred dollar chairs or the ghetto computers in cardboard boxes, theyre nice and cool and ready to be imitated and i wish i worked at CTU so I had lots of fancy toys to play with...

I have lots more ideas to imitate and have begun planning my new office arrangement. Not just the four 20inch LCDs, two of which are WS, but also the desk with the lights underneath and the chair with the lights inside and the nice rackmounts with identical cases and lights on it and power the whole room on leds and convert my half dozen pcs to like six stacked shuttle boxes in a grid thing....

I have pics from my dorm room at the end of last year. But they are kind of unsorted and unedited and I prob need to make an acutal page for it.
I'll have to take pics of my current setup..... after I clean up and hide the wires and rig the lotto....

now.. back to this um.. report....

SocceRich20, I love the room color.

Not to sound like a homosexual ( :p ) but I like how the colors accent the color of the keyboard/screens/etc...a very good theme to it.

That left monitor has to go, though. Not because it doesn't aestetically fit, but look at that color reproduction on the screen!

Don't worry, the 15" beige lcd is being replaced with a 17" monitor identical to the black one I have in the center now, which is a 12ms.

I decided to get in on this thread before the year was over. This is just an old pic I took a while ago. Now there is nothing on either side of my computer as I cleared it all out last week.

Well, I am dislocated and staying at a family members house while our house is being rebuilt from the previous hurricane, so here is my current set up.
http://www.gcorbin.com/images/workstation.JPG
I am still organizing and trying new set ups so no flames, I know it looks bad now. Ugly speakers as you can see. This desk isn't that bad either, the bottom of the glass is frosted, so streaks a prints aren't noticeable, and im borderline OCD.

Just so a mod realizes, one of the pics on page 78 seems to open a popup to a virus infected site.

You'd better catch that spool of blank media there.
Could get a headache from that.
