Does it take any special hardware to connect an iBook to VGA?

Just curious... durability is forcing me to glance at the ibook again...

Yes sort of, but it comes with the laptop, it's a mini-VGA to VGA adapter, it's called the Apple VGA Display Adapter part number M8639G/A included with the iBook. Just like the mini-DVI to DVI AND mini-DVI to VGA adapters come with the 12" PowerBook.

it works great too...I have hooked to my sony E540 (21" trinitron) and had no issues with it
