not sure these would fit (but component parts might)

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
http://www.knoppix.net/
your favorite data recovery or repair apps Diskpatch (http://www.diydatarecovery.nl/~tkuurstra/DiskPatch.htm) for instance

other apps
http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php
W2K recovery console (http://windows.about.com/library/weekly/aa032600c.htm) (if that can even be done see Bart's Way (http://windows.about.com/library/weekly/aa032600c.htm) for possible leads) works for XP as well

your now being reloacted to [G]eneral Software
and as a punishment for posting in the wrong forum
you get to enjoy the easy listening melodies of Barry Manilow

"I write the songs that make the whole world sing.
I write the songs of love and special things.
I write the songs that make the young girls cry.
I write the songs, I write the songs. "
<shudder>

Thank You for flying [H]ard|Forums Airways :p

Pins password storage (http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/pins.html)

"PINs does not require installation and does not need any special dlls, drivers or system files which can mess up your system. This means that PINs can run directly from floppy - including data files - without installing anything. This is extremely useful if you wish to easily access your data on other computers as well."

I carry it everywhere....

So far I got firebird & thunderbird on this badboy. What else?

Btw, I would prefer if they didn't install, as I would use this on computers that aren't mine (school)

I have this very small email client ( < 1MB) that fits on a flash disk. It is a simple pop3 email program. You can load on as many accounts as you want. If you ever want to check your email.. you just need 2 things. A USB port and any internet ready computer. The program is called nPopQ or something like that. I can get the exact link if you'd like.

Other than that I store a bunch of personal information on mine.
