I hit 240 FSB with stock Intel cooler. I'll post results with Thermalright SP-94 tomorrow.

Cool. I plan on getting an SP-94, can't wait to see your oc results and temps! btw, how do you determine where your p4 was packaged by what's on the side of the box? Mine's malaysia but I want to know how for future p4's I buy.

Mine was a SL6WH, one of the first ones. Got it to 245fsb stable with stock vcore, didn't toy that much with the vcore but as it could boot at 250 and be stable for some hours at stock so with some vcore it prolly could have worked. Would boot into Windows and be stable enough to take a few benmarks at 255 stock but then crash soon after.

I managed to get to 250FSB, but my Cosair PC3700 doesn't seem to want to cooperate at that speed, so I had to use the 5:4 ratio to get into windows. I think the RAM is a bit too finicky as far as what voltages it will run at. So far 2.7 seems to be the sweet spot, but that will only hit 233 :(. I'll try again in a bit. Oh and my temp is 36C idle, I just reinstalled windows so I don't have anything to put load on the CPU yet.

ok now i'm stable at 250/250 1:1....damn corsair needs 3.2v to run 250 for some reason.....anyone think thats a bit much or am I fine?

Oops forget to mention I'm running 1.55vcore

UPDATE: I must have shit memory, windows crashed not long after posting. Back down to 5:4 I go.

How does the Abit IC7-MAX2 report CPU tempatures. It says that my chip is 48c under no load, which doesnt seem right with a 2.6c (@2.6) with a Thermalright SLK-947u.

Does anyone know if this motherboard calculates the tempature too high?

^ Yes, 8-12 above what it should be, based on Abit's mathmatical calculations.
