Don't know, but from looking at the manufacturer website it looks like a really nice HSF. I would think that it cools better than the original one. Next time that I place an order at Newegg I'm going to add it in. Its only $4, doesnt hurt to try it out & see.

The tiger fan is pretty cheap, needs to be lapped and may not work due to the hold down mechanism. If you have 4 U shaped lugs around the northbridge, then you should be okay to use that HSF combo. But like I said, LAP it because the contact surface on mine was VERY rough. The fan lasted for a year or more - I sold the system I was using it on.

The replacement ABIT fan (Blue Orb, replaced that mini blue cooler used on the early IC7's) is what I bought for my IC7 and I then used it on my Asus P4C800-E. However while it cooled okay, the fan is already crapping out after about 4.5 months. Perhaps I got a lemon, but that's just my experience with it.

Excaliperpc is where I bought my NB fan right when they were released by Abit. I don't know any other place who has them off hand either.

Good Luck!

My fan on my ABit IC-7 not the ORB, but the other blue plastic one started crapping out(making noise) after about 4-5 months too. So I took it out and oiled it and its been fine for the past 2-3 months. But I'm going to get the Tiger one for when it eventually dies.

True, they do....

I forgot about that... I hope they will send me the orb style, if/when mine goes out

Do you need to send them the old fan back?

They'll only send you a new one if you ask them, and you are in the UK or Europe. In the US, you have to buy a new NB fan.

That's right. I went through the same crap with them when my IC7 fan started crapping out 3 days after I bought the motherboard.
