i´m currently looking for a rather cheap 5.1 sound solution
i could get the creative life! 5.1 card rather cheap ..
i´m thinking about using it with the Inspire P580 5.1 set.

are there any major problems known with the setup above ?
would this be a rather good (budget wise) step into the 5.1 world ?

like i said i can get those hardware rather cheap where i live ..still quality is important i never had probs with soundcards(live, live value and all the former cards) before and want this to continue with 5.1

call me old fashioned but i've never owned a non creative card soundcard. sb live 5.1 is cheap, but i'd spend a little extra money and get the audigy2 if you can.

The Audigy LS is great. However, consider this chaintech card for only $27. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=29-120-103&catalog=57&manufactory=BROWSE&depa=1 This card has a VIA envy chip.
