Anyone know of any sites that walk you through removing the 60 day trail so you don't have to keep re-installing the longhorn beta?

Its not like I'm trying to hack it or anything; I mean its a frickin beta no point; but the install is very annoying and I'd like to keep it running longer then 2 months.

Let me know if anyone has seen anything on this.

So, how you like Longhorn?

Ya know its kind of simular to XP really. Lots of eye candy; so if you really like eye candy then this is the OS for you. Honestly I think microsoft is doing a really good job on this OS.

Remember where XP was when it first came out; full of issues and no one really like it. Now it seems that its rock solid and everyone likes it. I don't think Longhorn will take as long to get where XP is now. Longhorn even though its still in the deta stages runs very well. I will probably buy this when it comes out.

I like eye candy and stability, so I will get it also. Along with a new 64 bit everything!

I don't seem to recall Longhorn being released to "beta" testers yet, did I miss something?

It's available in various flavors of Alpha for download for MSDN clients...the Beta isn't scheduled to be released until sometime next summer.

Yeah, it's still in alpha release. Check out this site for a review:

Nice, so it's possible that I can get my hands on it provided I give testing feedback? Is the latest release stable enough to do everyday stuff on?

It's available if you are a MSDN client. At this point the OS is in early Alpha stage and is basically a shell with none of the 'guts' put in as of yet for security reasons. It's definitely not for a production box and probably won't be for a least another year.

Longhorn hasn't even taken shape yet. From what I've seen/heard WinFS is seriously buggy, and most of the new features haven't even been implemented yet
