I've had problems with this since I got it..
It's a 48x CD-Rewriter from LG and it barely works at 8x.
When I insert a CD-r first of all a loud buzz begin to sound as if the cd was wobbling around insanely in there and then when I try to write something on it, randomly through the process a write error occurs and all buffer is gone in an instant...
(I'm using Nero 6)
I've updated the firmware and even changed the damn thing at the store once but still the exact same error so I suppose it's something really wrong and it ain't the CD-burner since I've changed it...
but of course there is a slight chance with extreme bad luck getting another bad one..
One more thing it leaves like a fuzzy scratch mark all around the CD-r records almost in the middle of it.. and the plastic CD-slot kinda frizzles along the edges after trying to burn anything with it..
Someone have any idea!? it's just scary how bad it works..
system specs:
Windows XP professional
VIA KT266 mobo
1.4ghz amd athlon
256mb ddram
ATI Radeon 9500
80gb IBM
20gb WD
