Browser Popping to Front?

Whenever I am working with multiple web browsers, working in one and something happens in the background in another, the background browser pops to the front and screws up what I am doing in the other browser. Anyway to prevent the other browsers from popping to the front?

What browser are you using?

It happens no matter which browser I think. I mostly use IE 6.0 with all the latest security updates. I also use SBC Yahoo's browser. Not sure if that is their own, or just IE with new skins. I lot of times I have both versions open and it happens even between the two. Running XP Pro.
