NVidia stand alone Soundstorm 5.1 or 7.1 soundcard?

What ever happen? I really thought they where going in to the audio sound card stand alone sound business? Guess Microsoft tripped them, besides ATI... but lets not get off the thread, I'm talking soundcards... Guess it was BS?

I wouldn't doubt that NVIDIA is still planning a discrete SoundStorm debut in the near future. The company has recently expressed interest in diversifying their product line to multimedia and networking applications. Around the time of the first major release of PCI Express products, keep your eyes out for NVIDIA audio product releases.

I'd give it time, but in addition with what xonik said, I wouldn't be surprised if Creative bought the rights to soundstorm :rolleyes:

Well I doubt NVidia would sell soundstorm, maybe license it... hehe Maybe 250 chipset will gain it who knows...
