Now we know where that boatload of Dell 2001 FP bad pixel returns are going! Wonder what the bad pixel policy and price will be on that beaut.
The picture of the 4 panels on one stand, lower on page look jizzmatic.

I wonder what panel this uses.....the same Sharp one that the FP uses?
I've used the VP171B extensively, and never had a bad pixel....

The LG panel is the only 16ms 20" out now.

Viewsonic has been using AU Optronics in the past... Id like to see this thing in action.

Hmmmm ? This site says it has less contrast than Viewsonics page, 350:1 vs 400:1, it also states that it is a 25ms panel, and costs $1350.

So does this one

etc.,etc,etc.
Unless this is a new panel, but then why didn't they change the part no. ?

I noticed at the Ars forum, it is the VP201s that is Viewsonics 16ms 20" panel. But at Viewsonics page it uses the same spec for both monitors
http://www.viewsonic.com/products/lcd_vp201s.htm
Now looking at the pics I assumes the s=silver, b=black, it's still not clear if they use different panels. Viewsonic claims both are 16ms, can anyone else find any links with specs. ?
Either way though the best price I could find is just under $1200 U.S. which is still 20% higher than the worst priced 2001FP $1000

It won't be any better than the Dell panel because it uses the same LG panel.

Also Viewsonic's replacement policy is alot toughers than Dell's is!
Dell will replace for you not being just happy with it but Viewsonic will not be so kind to you! For the product policy alone it's better to buy from Dell! The only other manufacturer that has a no quibble return policy for dead pixels, I believe is, Planar someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.
