sata question

i know that with a regular hdd u can use the same ide cable and have two hdd's but how do u do that with sata? do uuse 2 different ports?

Usually there are only 2 IDE ports on a motherboard. A few have more but most dont. With SATA there is usually at least 4 ports if its included on the motherboard. The Abit IC7-Max 3 has 6.
