Seagate Barracuda Not working

Well I got all the parts for my shuttle today and when I had it all hooked up the HD wasnt working so I tried another sata cable, still nothing. So I put it in this machine and its not powering up! What could be wrong? This hard drive is a 120gb seagate barracuda.

After making sure that everything is connected properly, if it still doesn't power up, then exchange/rma it for another one.

I'm going to go out and buy a new power cable and see if that does anything.

ok when i plug it in and hold it in place it beeps twice..whats up with that?

seagates have a speaker\buzzer somewhere
I remember a very old thread where I insisted it couldnt be the HDD :rolleyes:

but it was :p

for the life of me I cant recall what it means
not even sure it was resolved
