alg.exe Service Disables Itself

For a while now the Application Layer Gateway Service on my machine (direct connection to internet, other computer on network connects via second nic on my machine) has been disabling itself and I've been forced to restart the service and re-run the network setup wizard so the other computer on my network can access the internet. Is there anyway to stop this?

I'm just guessing off the top of my head that if your starting the service and it's not kicking anything back to you, that a service that it depends on is stopping for some reason?

Anyhow:

start menu
control panel
adminstrator tools
services
double click application gateway service
click recovery tab
click dropdown box "on first fail"
select "restart services"
make sure it's 0 days, 1 minute

if it's failing faster than that you have serious problems anyhow.
