View Full Version : Warranty void on AMD 2500 if I use a new HSF?

What is this all about? Can I not get a new heatsink and fan to help cool my chip better without making the warranty void? Is this true because it said that on my warrranty card thing and if it is true then that is stupid...

How will AMD know if you had used a different heatsink if it happens that you have to RMA the chip ?

I am not sure, but it wouldn't make sense if it voided the warranty since it doesn't come with the thing attached.

I RMAed a 2000+ once that was killed by the sh***yness of the Tt Volcano 7+ .... so yeah just use a non stock cooler to keep the temps below 55C

i heard the barton 2500 stock heatsink is quite good
