Im not much for racers but I bought that game and i can stand it. The reason wall hit can send u so far back is because ur going liek 300 MPH. Thats gunna be weird to tote your memory card allaround to arcades for AX

I've heard there is less than 10 F-Zero AX cabinets in the USA.

you heard right, either SEGA AM2 isnt doing a very good job at marketing the arcade, or they are "beta testing" the market for some odd reason.

either way, its not making any damn sense, and is pissing me off, cause i want to play the damn game!

badjoke: im sorry you feel that way, but if you dont like racing games, why did you buy a RACING GAME?

I bought it because I'm a big fan of the snes version as well. I didn't like it at first, but after I learned how to control the game, I like it now. I still can't finish a race in comp on mute city: serial gaps though, and that's really starting to piss me off.

just wait till you play that stage on MASTER.
fuck me, i spent 2 hours on one freakin mission in story mode. worth it though, i got one of the arcade machines (YAY! SUPER FAST!) when they say VERY HARD, they mean VERY HARD.

(Thank God I got a wavebird, cause i would of broken my controller then....)

F-zero is just way to hard for me. I beat it all on easy and I'm sticking to it. Great game and all but waaaaaaaay to hard for me. But hard is good.

Man, I think F-Zero GX really didn't get enough attention. It's sort of sad how people shy away from any challenging game nowadays, even if the challenges are completely fair. I don't consider myself a particularily great player, but it didn't take me THAT much play time to beat all the cups on master and all the story mode chapters on very hard. With the exception of Story Mode chapters 7 and 8 on very hard (7 especially requires a fair bit of luck, but skill is definitely required heh), the game is really very skill based and just awesome/fun to get better at...

As for serial gaps, I recommend practicing it in first person mode, and playing it in first person mode. I play everything in default view except that course, which I find impossible in 3rd person but very easy in 1st...

I finally got past serial gaps using the blue falcon set all the way to acceleration. My current place I can't pass is level 3 in story mode. Everytime I barely touch the wall or swerve out, everyone passes me, and gives me a cheap shot on the way by to ensure I never get back up front.

As far as the wavebird, I find it gets me into more trouble, as there is no wire to stop it's rate of descent once I chunk it. I usually use my wired controller while playing Fzero GZ and MC:DD. It is a good controller for playing other games that don't get my blood pressure going through the roof though.
