Yes it can be beneficial to Animation, but in truth your money would be better spent on more RAM
besides if you RAID 0 those two HDDs where are you going to store your data? RAID 0 isnt a good solution for any long term storage, Id recommend you use multiple page files (http://www.storagereview.com/php/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=MultiplePagefiles&PHPSESSID=eb954366164978a08563a2e6ecdffd45) instead, its like RAID 0 for your virtual memory, w\ ideally a 3rd HDD for the OS (even a small HD say 20GB)
