Sometimes i regret getting a gamecube and getting a ps2.

The only reason i got the GC was for the first party titles.

The only reason i got the ps2 was for GTA 3 ( non vc ) and armored core.

Otherwise, everything else goes to my PC.

Simply, i dont have the budget to buy console games. It is probably the same with alot of people nowadays.

When someone can go on their PC and play most of the games that were released for console, for free... Makes them not buy the console game ;-) I'm referring to using pirated software.

Either way, i wouldnt sell either my ps2 or gamecube, because i will admit the meager amount of games i have are extremely fun.

Theres a HYPER BEAM?!?! what where?!!
I just got my plasma beam and im about to go back down to the phazon mines. I guess I still have a ways to go, still havent fought meta ridley and really havent explored the phazon mines, lots of blue areas on the map.
but everywhere else is conquered! i need one more energy tank, other than that, still got the relics to go for, got 5 of them, missing a few.

what a badass game. gamecube is taking all my game time currently. (Metroid Prime and FZERO GX)

umm :o

d00d

if you do a search in games.

there is a walk through that was compiled between myself and a few other [H] players

BTW

Back in the Phazon mines. You will face the Omega Pirate. Defeat him and get the Phazon suite AND the Hyper Beam (which is only activated by the final boss of the game :) )

And as for the Prime walktrough, the search is still busted, is it not?

oh no, im much further than you think, and im not going to use any guides.

fought the omega pirates already, i just back tracked after i got the grapple hook to get the plasma beam(same as hyper beam? like metroid 3? ah i understand now....)

so basically, i thought it was another totally seperate beam, but i guess not. oh well, i guess that will make the final battle that much more interesting.

I am inclined to agree that Super Metroid is still the best of the series, and in particular has some of the best music ever to come out of an SNES.

Have you heard the Super Metroid Project, aka the Super Metroid Ultimate Colaboration Project, aka Relics of the Chozo? If you liked the music, check that out.

noo

You have fought the Elite Pirates NOT Omega Pirate (notice the singular). It is a Major Boss. As a matter of fact it is one of the last bosses before Mecha-Ridley and then Metriod Prime itself. The only way to get to the Omega Pirate is to open the gate with...... The Plasma gun as it is the Door with a red light around it (indicating only openable by Plasma gun. :)

The easiest way to win against the Omega Pirate is with the Plasma gun. Anything else don't do enough damage.

the hyper beam is a total seperate weapon.... Remember in Super Metroid when you got the Hyper beam at the very end (it mows down anything in your sight). Well in Metroid Prime. This is no exception. Fission Metroids get mowed down easily with the hyper beam.

As a matter of fact. If you bring up your menu system you should see 6 weapons instead of four :)

Beam
Charge beam (Not sure on this one)
Wave beam
Ice Beam
Plasma beam (what you just got)
and ?

This ? turns into Hyper Beam after the defeat of the Omega Pirate :). :)

btw here is where 100% of all items are :)

ooo, very nice thanks. i like new weapons.... :)
btw, the game isnt beatable without all the ancient relics, is it?
i reckon i got 6 of them, (one more last night, good ol' xray :)) so i got 6 more to go. im guessing, that is where the end of the game takes place? if so, dont answer that question. :)

is the ice spreader an addon like the wavebuster? seems pointless if it is. i got 120 missles and they all disappear in 10 seconds after using that stupid attack.

ice spreader is like the wave buster and the flame thrower. Ice spreader is actually use fully when attacking numerous Metroids. Freezes them and a radius :)

It take 10 missles to activate and for every second in use (wave buster and flamethrower) it uses 5 missles.

BTW you NEED all 12 items. Otherwise you can not get to the last two "bosses"

I honestly believe games are more fun when you pay for them. When you shell out 50$ for a game you want to get everything you can out of it. I barely touch my pirated games because they bore me because it makes no difference if I play them or not. Recently I bought KOTOR for my pc and I am already on my second time through playing the evil side trying to get all the sidequests I missed while on the light side. That is my 2 cents and I believe it is right.
