I have a dell laptop, model M1530, and for some ungodly reason my mouse randomly clicks.

What I mean by this is that where ever the cursor is located, its like it clicks there on that location. So lets say Im writing a term paper and my cursor is mid paragraph, as Im typing suddenly im typing wherever my cursor was - say mid paragraph. This is SO annoying, Im constantly having to correct my papers. I hope this makes some sense.

Ive changed OS's, and I know Im not tapping the touch pad - I think it has something to do with the touch pad being faulty. Is there is a way to disable it because I use a laser mouse. Has anyone ever heard of this problem ? The problem occurs at completely random timing, it could be 5 times in 1 minute or 1 time in 10 min though its not often it goes that long.

Someone please help.

As always, thanks!

Are you using the touch pad, or your mouse...?

You can set the touch pad to disabled when a mouse is connected, should be in the settings.

you can go into device manager and disable your touchpad.
