Hey guys,

Im looking for some good FPS titles that can do co-op multiplayer over LAN. They dont have to be the newest games, classics are always welcome. So, any suggestions?

Call of Duty World at War (needs a lan patch fix, however).

if you can wait 2 weeks then Borderlands might be promising.

Yeah I second Borderlands. There is RE5 as well...I guess lol

Classic coop there is Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, that's always fun. Dunno if it works over LAN.

ghost recon the original and both serious sam games co-op over lan. there are others but i dont remember any newer games as we stopped lanning awhile back. ton of team games out there but not too many that u fight the pc, though some games u can vs bots if u like, like battlefield games.

I always enjoyed the original Unreal in coop. There was mod for it that increased the number of tougher enemies past the defaults including Titans. Nothing like you and 4 or more of your freinds facing off against a dozen Izarians, a half dozen brutes and Skaarj, and a Pair of Titans. The game looks horribly dated now though.
L4D is another good one.

Operation Flashpoint 2 Dragon Rising just came out. It has 4 player coop mode. Some classics are the Serious Sam series.

I would say L4D, but I don't think that'd work unless your friends all had it on their steam account? Still would need to host the lobby online, then have everybody join it, then start a local game.

Classic Ghost Recon and Operation Flashpoint are some of the best games for lan party co-op action.

I didnt know Chaos Theory had co-op. Do you get the play the single player?

Serious Sam is probably the most fun I've ever had as far as coop in a PC FPS.

There are several co-op specific missions that you can play, but they are different from the single-player mode.

Well, the new OFP would definitely apply (dragon rising). 4 player coop for the whole game

Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is quite fun over LAN co-op.
