I have a system running Server 2003 Standard w/ SP1. Out of nowhere I started losing network connectivity to it. I have replaced all network related hardware that is connecting it (router, cables, NICs), however I am still experiencing issues.

Any attempts to make an inbound connection will fail until I go to the system itself and initiate an outbound connection. Simply opening up a web site will lead to everything working fine, yet within an hour inbound connections will fail again. There are no messages in Event Viewer indicating any problems. I have stupidly patched it by leaving CNN open in a minimized web browser since it automatically refreshes itself every 10 minutes or so, but I would like to figure out what is causing this and fix it at the root. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

spyware?

or your dns is screwed up on the server, or the workstations aren't point their dns to that server, or something.
